Building Bridges to Leadership

Beacon Bridge Leadership Institute

Illuminate the leader. Strengthen the village. Open the path.

Leadership Development That Moves Women From Preparation to Opportunity

The Beacon Bridge Leadership Institute is the leadership-development and mentoring division of D&M Legacy Consulting. Founded by Dr. Kathy L. McMillan-Bennon, the Institute prepares, supports, and advances women leaders—with a particular commitment to Black women in education and other mission-driven organizations. Through reflective learning, strategic relationships, and practical action, participants learn to communicate their strengths, navigate barriers, build a leadership village, and move forward with greater confidence, visibility, and clarity.

The Beacon Bridge Method

The Institute’s signature framework is brought to life through Beacons, Mirrors, and Open Doors and the companion Beacon Bridge Method Workbook. Together, these resources guide women from reflection to recognition, from isolation to meaningful support, and from preparation to genuine opportunity.

Participants identify the support they need, map the relationships around them, complete focused Reach-Back Practices, and turn insight into visible, measurable action.
