The Beacon Bridge Leadership Institute is the leadership-development and mentoring division of D&M Legacy Consulting. Founded by Dr. Kathy L. McMillan-Bennon, the Institute prepares, supports, and advances women leaders, with a particular commitment to Black women working in education and other mission-driven organizations.
The Institute addresses a challenge that professional preparation alone cannot solve. Many highly qualified women demonstrate leadership long before receiving the title, authority, recognition, or access that should accompany their contributions. They may be visible because of the work they carry while remaining unseen in conversations about advancement. They may receive encouragement without sponsorship, additional responsibilities without decision-making authority, or mentoring that offers advice without opening meaningful doors.
